Stair Warehouse was founded 20 years ago by Shawn Capell and John Stevens. We were two 35-year-old guys with growing families and years of experience distributing Stair Parts for manufacturers in Houston, Texas.
The demand for stair parts was growing quickly. Unfortunately, you couldn’t buy anything online. Homeowners and builders would call us daily and ask us to start an eCommerce business that supplied unique Iron Balusters and railings that could be shipped to their part of the country. Well, after a lot of prayer and support from our wives, we listened to our customers and started www.stairwarehouse.com.
When we decided to open our doors in 2004, we said to ourselves, “The only way we will run our company is to exceed our customer’s expectations and ship them the finest stair parts available.” So, we worked tirelessly sourcing the very best handcrafted hardwood Box Newels, Italian Wrought iron balusters, and Contemporary Railings that could ship anywhere. I remember being so happy to report to our families and friends that we could help our customers. It was so nice to receive our first batch of testimonials and wonderful emails from our customers showing off their beautiful railings. The phone rang off the hook for new orders, and we couldn’t have been happier.
I am even prouder to report that —It’s 2024— and we are stronger than ever. Stair Warehouse has been blessed with the ability to provide jobs for a number of employees and ship products all over the United States. With all these years of experience and unbelievable talent on our team, we have also been able to lower prices on beautiful stair parts, ship free, and continue to provide the customer service our customers deserve.
